Australian assistant coach Matthew Wade has retired


 Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 36-year-old Wade also got the job of assistant coach in the Australian national team shortly after making the announcement today. The former team captain will play for Australia in the T20I series against Pakistan next month.


Wade played the last match of 13 years of international cricket last June, in the T20 World Cup. Earlier, Wade announced his retirement from red ball cricket last March. Wade will continue to play for the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League and a few other franchise tournaments, despite stepping down from international cricket into coaching.
